This saga of race, civil rights, and murder in the Jazz Age has been chosen by the Michigan Humanities Council as the 2011-12 “Great Michigan Read”.  Lawyers Grant Parsons and Dean Robb, and Historian John C. Mitchell will discuss the book as a panel, moderated by Juliette Schultz.    ARC OF JUSTICE is the story of African American physician Ossian Sweet who purchased a home in a white neighborhood of Detroit in 1925.  Determined to protect his family and property, Sweet chose to defend himself from the mob organized to drive him out.
